Summary

Women’s World Banking (“WWB”) is seeking proposals from qualified independent consultants or firms to provide WWB with various translation and interpretation on-call services during the calendar year of 2012, March 2012 through February 2013, with possible two 1-year extensions at WWB’s option. The proposals selected will be awarded on-call retainer contracts. WWB may award contracts to multiple service providers for each service.  The projects are funded by a range of donors.

About Women’s World Banking

WWB is an international microfinance support organization and network of 39 microfinance institutions in 27 countries. The mission of WWB is to expand the economic assets, participation and power of low-income women and their households by helping them access financial services, knowledge and markets. 

Objectives & Responsibilities

The specific services being sought are as follows:

• Translation: Spanish and French – professional translation for multiple projects and publications
• Interpretation: Spanish and French – professional interpretation for multiple events a year. May require the use of audio equipment and booths

Proposal Must Include and Demonstrate the Ability to:

• Professional qualifications and experience
• All appropriate licenses and certifications
• Professional references
• Fee requirements and structure
• Manage expenses on a reimbursable basis
