Women’s World Banking offers its supporters the unique opportunity to travel abroad to visit the areas we work and to meet our network members. During these trips, which range from four to seven days, participants are presented with a new perspective on microfinance as they are invited into the offices of the financial institutions to meet with senior leadership and loan officers, and the homes and business of the microentrepreneur. The experience of hearing the stories and seeing the impact that access to financial services has on the lives of women in countries around the world is deeply moving; often transforming perception and challenging convention. Each trip has its own unique story, as the participants learn about the history of a culture, and the current social and economic environment.
