BEQUESTS
A bequest to Women's World Banking is a lasting means of supporting microfinance services that enable poor entrepreneurs to lift themselves out of poverty. Bequests to WWB in the United States are made through Friends of WWB/USA, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization. Click here for more information about Friends of WWB/USA, Inc.
To leave a specific sum, we suggest the following language: "I give, devise and bequeath to Friends of WWB/USA, 8 West 40th Street, New York, N.Y. 10018, the sum of ______."
To leave a percentage of your estate, we suggest: "I give, devise and bequeath to Friends of WWB/USA, Inc., _____% of my estate."
Other types of bequests include memorials (in honor of a specific person), endowments (to be used for a specific purpose), contingent bequests (WWB would receive a share of your estate only in the event of the deaths of other beneficiaries) and residuary bequests (whereby WWB would receive a share of your estate only after debts have been paid and other bequests fulfilled).
