Diagnostic to Action: Microfinance in Africa Multi-Stakeholder Conference

We are delighted to share with you that the Africa Microfinance Action Forum (AMAF) and Women’s World Banking (WWB) will be hosting Diagnostic to Action: Microfinance in Africa Multi-Stakeholder Conference in Nairobi, Kenya on June 4, 2009.

This event will showcase the joint study undertaken by AMAF and WWB with the support of the Government of Luxembourg, ADA, Care, and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development, which provides an extensive and in-depth look at the African microfinance sector and its current and prospective situation. Partners and sponsors for the event also include Casa Africa and the African-Spanish Women’s Network for a Better World.

The objectives of this conference are to share the study’s findings and recommendations as well as facilitate dialogue and discussion between a broad range of stakeholders. This event will provide the opportunity for local and international stakeholders to present their strategies for advancing the sector and the economic empowerment of women in Africa.
