Started by the Tokyo-based Niwano Peace Foundation, the prize is awarded annually to honor and encourage individuals who are devoting their lives to interreligious cooperation for peace. Ms. Bhatt also visited WWB Japan, which is dedicated to helping Japanese women in their entrepreneurial endeavors and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Since its inception WWB Japan has trained more than 5,000 women in entrepreneurial skills and enabled 1,000 to start their own endeavors.
