Women's World Banking is governed by a 13-member Board of Trustees, all of whom are recognized leaders in banking, finance, business, law, community organizing, or women's economic participation.
WWB's Board has fiduciary responsibility for the organization and is charged with approving WWB's policies, strategies and annual budgets. The full board meets quarterly and most members are involved in committee work. Officers of WWB's Board are the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and President, who is the Chief Executive Officer of WWB and a member of the Board. The Board is also responsible for appointing WWB's President.

The committees meet quarterly or as needed. A number of WWB's past Board members remain involved as members of WWB's Advisory Committee.
