We are proud to announce that Kashf Foundation has been awarded the One Women Initiative, which is a public private partnership between the United States Department of State, USAID and the One Women Initiative, to recognize the work of institutions that promote economic equity, justice and women’s participation in the Muslim world. The certificate was presented to Ms Roshaneh Zafar, Founder of Kashf Foundation by the United States Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resource Jacob Lew, during a ceremony in Islamabad. The US Ambassador Anne Patterson, along with other USAID officials were also present during the ceremony. After the award ceremony, Mr Jacob Lew also met with successful Kashf clients and was able to understand the transformation that a small loan can make to the lives of low income households. The Deputy Secretary assured the clients that he would carry their message of hope and courage to the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is an ardent supporter of microfinance.
