Mary Houghton is President of ShoreBank Corporation and has been a member of its senior management since ShoreBank's founding in 1973. ShoreBank is a regulated bank holding company that invests its own resources and attracts external funding for under-invested urban and rural communities in Chicago, Cleveland, Michigan and the Pacific Northwest. It is also the sponsor and manager of ShoreCap International, an equity investment company that invests in banks in Asia, Africa and Central Europe. Previously, Ms. Houghton was a Senior Manager and Director of the South Shore Bank in Chicago (USD 275 million in assets) where she also served as Senior Lender and Senior Operating Officer. Ms. Houghton serves on the boards of several organizations that provide credit in low-income communities. She joined the WWB Board of Trustees in 1996.
