In May of 2009, I took a "field trip" to Colombia organized by Women’s World Banking. I traveled alone to Colombia where I met up with 5 WWB LEADers with whom I traveled for one week to some of the poor areas of Bogota, Cali and Buca. The purpose of the trip was to fulfill a wish I have had for many years, to see clients of microfinance in their habitats and work places. I have followed the field of microfinance for about 10 years.
